My son is just 11 and playing in an under12 football team. Whilst being very skillfull and quite quick, he suffers at his age becuase he is playing against bigger, stronger boys. Is there any kind of excercise he can do at his age to help him gain strength (he's athletic but not bulky) without it harming his natural growth. or is it just a matter of being patient and waiting for his body to fll out.

I have been working out for a while now doing a mixture of cardio and resistence but don't seem to be getting anywhere. Can you help?

Answer

It depends what you have been doing, how long that you have been doing it for, and what intensity you are working at. This is why most people need a Personal Trainer, depending on your targets your trainer will work all of this out for you so that you can hit your targets in the shortest time possible. I see lots of people work out for years, but not change. If this time was spent with myself they would have reached the targets set a long time a go

i have heard that a good way to lose weight is to do weights. I am scared that i will bulk up and look like a man. Can you give me any advice?

Answer

You have heard right. Doing weights is arguably the best way to lose weight, what this will do is increase your metabolism which means that when you are sitting down watching the tv you will burn more calories. If looking like a man is something that you would like to avoid, lift light weights. Doing 3sets 15-20repititions would be great for you.
